Today's chrome plating quality is far from the quality of the past. The front of the shroud (rear of the engine) plating is ok, although there was a spot at the top of the fan hole 1" x 1/2" that had very noticeable grinding marks in the metal. The rear of the shroud (front of the engine) plating looks like silver paint. Haven't mounted it yet to the engine, so do not know the fitment quality. This particular shroud packaging shows it was made in Taiwan rather than the typical made in China Empi products. For this show quality engine I should have acquired a black shroud and had it chrome plated. It will, however, serve its intented purpose.
